Resurgo · reh-SUR-go · Latin, "I rise again"

Not a quick fix. A real renewal — part of the rhythm of caring for something that feeds your family, meal after meal.

Before you start

Already finished? You're ready. Bare wood? Finish it first.

RESURGO is a maintenance topcoat — it keeps an existing finish alive, it doesn't create one. If your board, bowl, or box already has an oil finish, you're all set. If it's bare wood, finish it first with a cured food-safe oil like raw or polymerized linseed or tung oil, then bring RESURGO into the rotation.

How to use

Feed the wood in four steps

01 Clean and dry the board completely.
02 Circle the cloth to build a lather and take a small amount of RESURGO.
03 Buff with the grain, let sit 10 minutes.
04 Buff again. Watch it rise.

What's not in it matters

Zero petroleum. Zero shortcuts.

Most board butters are food-grade mineral oil — refined petroleum. We wanted better. Every ingredient in RESURGO already touches food in other contexts.

RESURGO ingredient flat lay: coconut oil, beeswax, carnauba, rice bran wax, vitamin E
Coconut oil — carrier oil, soaks in fast, no flavor transfer
Refined beeswax — body and seal
Carnauba wax — hardness + water repellency
Rice bran wax — that soft glow, not a plastic look
Vitamin E oil — shelf life, added off-heat

Naturally sourced, real glow, no reapplication anxiety.

Why three waxes

Most board butters stop at one or two.

Beeswax for body and seal, carnauba for hardness and water repellency, rice bran wax for a soft glow that shows the grain instead of masking it — most alternatives on the market use one wax, sometimes two. RESURGO uses three, each pulling its own weight.

Made with care. Finished once, maintained forever.

Hand-poured in small batches in Noblesville, Indiana, by a family that uses cutting boards every day and believes wood deserves better than neglect.
